PUMA is launching its ‘Built for One’ T7 activation across the Middle East as part of the 40 year celebrations of the classic T7 Track Jacket.

The design project is a collaboration with regional artists, bloggers, musicians and filmmakers to design and create their own version of the iconic T7 Track Jacket at an exclusive workshop event in Dubai, where the select few will put their creative savvy to work and build a bespoke PUMA Creative Factory T7 jacket from an assortment of materials and fabrics.

After the introduction of the PUMA Creative Factory in 2010–a shoe customization concept that allowed consumers to design and create their own sneaker–a key selection of creative personalities from Iran, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have now been selected to collaborate with PUMA on the second phase of the design initiative to interpret the classic T7 Track Jacket.

Detailing their involvement via their personal communities and social networks, the ambassadors will be participating in an interactive T7 workshop on 26 April, 2012 in Dubai–alongside the winners of the T7 Design application competition (see here) and fashion design students from local universities to create their own unique T7s.

All you have to do is visit the Facebook app, pick your country, create your design and upload it to the gallery. From here, your design will be put to a public vote. Six winners from Iran and other Middle East countries will be chosen to fly to Dubai for the PUMA Creative Factory T7 Workshop with our PUMA T7 ambassadors.

During your trip to the UAE, you’ll visit PUMA Middle East Head Quarters to be briefed on the T7 Project alongside selected artists, film‐makers, musicians, fashion bloggers and designers, all from the region who have been flown in to participate in the project, as well as being part of the exclusive T7 Workshop with renowned fashion designers, also from the region, who have collaborated with PUMA for this exclusive event. As part of the T7 Experience, you’ll also get VIP status at SOLE DXB, the Middle East’s Sneaker Summit–at which PUMA will, amongst other things, be hosting the reveal of the T7 Designer creations, as well as exhibiting Limited Edition design collections from across the globe.

PUMA fans can pre-register at soledxb.com and be in with a chance of winning one of the 30 Limited Edition PUMA Creative Factory T7 jackets that will be given away at Sole DXB: the Middle East’s sneaker summit.

The PUMA T7 Track Jacket was born in 1968 and has achieved legendary status by being worn by famous athletes, rock stars, b-boys and artists including football legend Pele and the Beastie Boys. The jacket is environmentally responsible as it is made of 100% recycled polyester; building on PUMA’s mission to become the most desirable and sustainable sportlifestyle company.

Don’t miss out on your chance to customize a classic and be sure to visit app page to get started on your PUMA Creative Factory T7 “BUILT FOR ONE” design.
